Is there any more servers in the works??

If every server is at max congestion the next option would be to make a new one. I feel like as much trouble as I went thru to get a small house I would rather be able to get in once and claim all my stuff and just move to a new server at this point on the Aether Data Center. Doesn't help that since all the stuff that happened with blizzard and world of warcraft alot of players migrated over with streamers. With this in mind this should have been prepared way back for this many people to log in. I never have had this much of a issue waiting in que to get to 1000 people for a half hour to get error 2002 or even make it to 1 once and get the error. World of warcraft may have been laggy at times but at least it was playable and you could log on for a new expansion.

They said they want to get more servers. They tried throwing extra money at the problem but due to the semiconductor shortage there is literally nothing available. Nothing they can do to even get new servers however much they want to, and they do want to.

error 2002 is very frustrating. we are seeing it when you click on the start button, and even in queue, people are getting kicked out of queue.

There is a new Oceanian (Australia/New Zealand/Indo-Pacific) data centre/server group planned for opening early next year (the data centre will apparently be called Materia), but there is no firm date other than a vague January/February timeframe as to when that will be due to pandemic travel restrictions preventing SE from travelling to Australia to inspect potential server hosts for the data centre, and the ongoing semiconductor shortage world wide.

All you can do is have patience I'm sorry to say.

One thing that help stop there free trial accounts and lease more servers. Pretty sure if they wanted to they could get more servers like how all new online games do.

Yeah they stated that paying players will have priority over free trial accounts during release a few days ago. As far as new servers they stated that there is a shortage for conductors or something... I have no idea but at this point I doubt a ton of us will get to experience early access.

It seems PS5 players are getting priority as well. They seem to be able to login without issue. If I were a more cynical person, I'd say that this is intentional to force people into the PS5.
