I've yet to be able to log in for 12hours now due to errors and que resetting

I'm a new player trying to level to get caught up to my friends. Hit shadowbringers last week and its been a blast. Yesterday and today though, have left me in a state of annoyance and confusion. I've had to sit through 7-9k ques just to be getting an error 2002 i think and then it fully resets my position in que by the time I can get back. I have been trying to play since 9 am this morning and as of 9:30 this night i have yet to be able to log in once. Ive dealt with cod and wow launches where the servers were very laggy but at least i was able to get in game and chat with friends while doing so. Whats up? Is this a normal thing for ff launches? This just feels awful as ive wasted a day in que of all things.

It's frustrating for all of us. No, it is not a normal thing for the FF launches. When 2.0 launched and ran into overcrowded servers, they were able to get new Worlds up in the space of a week to alleviate the pressure. Additional server and data center expansions are planned out carefully, months or even a year in advance, then launched at a controlled pace.

The silicon shortage made it impossible for them to add additional servers when the population started trending up last summer - the hardware could not be had for any price. At this point, they might have to resort to desperation measures like using older hardware that they retired preciously, if they still have it. Or pay a king's ransom to whatever major vender they ordered the OCE data center servers from for an early delivery.

I've hit queues of 1000+ in the past at launch, and 2500+ when the entire server or data center crashed, but it was 4500 when I poked it a little while ago. Unprecedented.

Not very encouraging, and I already hate this expansion. I am almost to the point of uninstalling it.

I wouldnt go out and say i hate the expac. I've yet to get to it and I dont think you can do all the content in a day lol. Give it some time, that arr sloooog made me skeptic but im loving it now!
