They're implying that you have to buy Immerse Spatial Audio to get sound to work, but it doesn't fix the stutter for everyone who tries it (or switches it from combat to cutscenes or some ridiculous BS like that) and most users report it drastically reducing overall sound quality anyway. Like all the "fixes" for this problem, it's not 100%, and I for one don't want to see Embody make a cent off the mess they helped make here.
I am not buying this product no matter what. An ear print is an unique as a fingerprint. And at a time when everyone is wearing masks...masks can break facial recognition but ears are still visible. Who is Embody selling that data to? Who owns them? Who really owns them? Is it using binaural beats - which are known to modify peoples brain waves and used to alter moods? Did folks have to sign a waiver with this program? What's in those terms? Happy to read those if someone wants to post them. So not a chance. I'd rather stop playing if they cannot fix it. The whole thing was sketchy, last minute and odd. The only thing I can think of was some trade off maybe for servers, funding or something. The silence on this may be a contractual one - but its concerning and odd with this many people clearly having issue. To be clear I don't think the FF team meant any harm, but I don't know Embody and I have no reason to trust them - or the timing of this. That's just my reasoning. Folks can do what they want. They're implying that you have to buy Immerse Spatial Audio to get sound to work, but it doesn't fix the stutter for everyone who tries it (or switches it from combat to cutscenes or some ridiculous BS like that) and most users report it drastically reducing overall sound quality anyway. It really doesn't completely fix the sound, I do not know if a single person said the sound was fully fixed with immerse trash. The only thing that mostly mattered to me, the fix, was that combat was actually playable having had reduced the stutter with it by a lot. By all means i'll say once more, it ain't a fix buddy.
I really won't have cash to buy new gear for quite some time, and even if I had, why would I waste it only for the sake of FFXIV, while all other games I care about still play well for me. What this game isn't worth of is all that money, my time I think I'm spending it well.I love how all the selfish folks tell others to not upgrade to a modern CPU and motherboard with socket type that would support it. They clearly have an agenda. There is a high chance they don't have the cash to buy proper hardware, and it's in their best interest for people to suffer with them for as long as it takes for devs to actually notice. If you wanna stay miserable and continue relying on checking this thread every day in case someone finds a wonderful fix - that you will test out, just to get disappointed - then be my guest.
I myself, would recommend you bite the bullet so you don't have to spend God knows how long trying to resolve an issue in a vidya. Your time is more valuable than this, trust me. Good luck everyone.
It seems you're high on cash so it doesn't seem to matter to you that SE screwed the game although the benchmark told us it was gonna play well.
Then well, just buy your new gear and go live your life (and if you buy it and it doesn't solve the issue as clearly it's not "old gear" fault, then buy it again until it works, it doesn't seem to matter to you), and leave us alone to be "miserable" all we want.
Anyway, just playing after the patch right now, and it didn't change a thing. I just wish I knew more about cursing in English just to tell SE exactly what I wish to tell them right now.
what sort of curses and too which situations would you like them to apply?
Turns out - for me - the update did nothing.
They haven't even addressed the issue at all in the Patchnotes or the Lodestone updates on the Launcher. They simply said in 6.01 they fixed it and they're going with that narrative. (If they believe hard enough maybe we'll just pretend it's fixed too??)
Since that's a thing, I will now post a new Bug-Report. I've filed on ingame too. If they're still investigating the original one, why isn't the issue on the 'Known Issues' list then?
I am done with the game for the forseeable future. I'll do my best to get the 2 months of upcoming gametime I paid for back, but from what I've read SE is very stingy with that sort of thing. Even though it's on their end and even though it's been over a month.
But I will stay active in this Forum, I will post Bug-Reports bi-weekly or so until it's fixed.
If it's on such a wide variety of PC's and even on Platform there is very little reason in upgrading your PC just to fix ONE game. The odds are: It's not your PCs fault.
This has been the most disappointing Game-(Expansion)-Release for me since the dawn of time. And I was excited for No Mans Sky.
replying with "I'm done, I'm unsubscribing, I'm this, till that" because they didn't attend to your specific need when you wanted them too is childish and immature. Maybe you should go back to WoW.
