Search results for "intel" from this very thread (I was not particularly thorough and not everyone posts their specs - I bet you can find more if you look through the bug reports):

Once again, Square Enix has acknowledged that this is a software problem, it is on their end, and that they have to be the ones to fix it. Do not let anyone tell you that your computer is at fault.
Amen. Tweets and forum posts do not constitute a sufficient official response for a gamebreaking bug that's persisted in a subscription game for a month and a half.

Regarding the audio problems i found a specific way of reproducing it on my end (not sure if mentioned by someone else before):Greetings,
Thanks again to everyone who submitted detailed information regarding the ongoing sound-related issue. Rest assured, the bug reports that were moved to the Duplicate Bug section have been also passed down and have been helpful in our investigation.
While it has taken some time to narrow down the conditions of the issue, we were able to reproduce it on our end.
We discovered an anomaly in the calculation process within FFXIV's game sound driver where the number of digits is not being adjusted correctly. Due to this, some CPUs with certain characteristics are unable to keep up with the calculation processes and have a high possibility of encountering the issue.
As mentioned previously, we noticed this primarily occurs on older CPU models that are around 10 years old, but have also confirmed cases on some of the latest CPU models.
We are continuing to investigate the matter and are working on a resolution to ensure that CPUs with these characteristics will be able to handle these processes correctly. Our current plans are to conduct pattern tests and release an additional fix in the next patch.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work towards resolving this issue.
I bought a house today and as soon as i changed the standard interior ceiling lamp (Ceiling Light) to the Star Chandelier, the audio stuttering began. Reverting it back to the Ceiling Light the stuttering went away again.
I also noticed going into the Barracks the audio stuttering appears, exiting the barracks made it go away again. This is the same for any inn I've entered.
Walking around in the barracks or inn's seems to reduce the stutter or let it go away completely until standing still again.

I'll just redirect you two to this, on the forum. They can't make posts about something (likely legally) unless they can reproduce it or some such. So my stance remains the same cause they did address it (right here in this thread) once they could reproduce it on their end and have said they're investigating the issue and plan to fix it. When 6.05 was coming around, they had nothing to say or couldn't say anything. Should they communicate more? Absolutely, but it's not disrespectful to point out they likely couldn't nor is it disrespectful to say a little googling for official support areas would be a wise course to take. I did a lot of it since EW's release since the audio issues are rather annoying (was able to do the msq at least since it didn't mess with msq audio, just fates and dungeons and trials).Greetings,

I'm glad to hear that they have been working on this issues, but i do have one question if it is a problems with cpu on our end why is the problem fixed when i downloaded and ran the Free trial of the Immerse Spatial Audio that was added to the game? Seems to me my cpu would still be doing the exact same thing it was doing before and the problem is with the optional software that was added in to "improve" the sound quality. I was not happy with the immerse spatial audio at all and would not want it, but why would enabling an optional item fix a problem that is supposedly originating on the players end?Greetings,

I also want to add I have never had sound problems with the game at all until this last patch 6.08
