Sadge that it does not work.
75°C is high for a CPU. It should be around 50 - 60°C. And yes, at 75°C it can be that the throttling mechanism will kick in and slow down the clock rate. But then the entire game will slow down and not only sound stutters. For those theorizing about CPU stuff, an information I don't know you're considering is related to CPU temperature. Someone posted an explanation before here I think, they called it CPU throttling or something.
For me, when CPU temperature gets to 75ºC or above, it's most guaranteed to stuttering to occur, then after a few seconds (I think the system makes CPU reduce speed or something to reduce temperature), stuttering stops and temperature lowers to 70-72ºC.
That's a situation where, for me, stuttering is guaranteed to happen, but it can happen at pretty much anytime too, even in lower temperatures.
Cheers
75c isnt necessary high for a cpu, for my ryzen 5 5600x with a stock cooler AMD sees temps as high as 90c as normal. Really depends on the cpu, but if throttling is occuring then yes, cleaning out your pc will certainty help. Or reapplying thermal paste if you havent done that in a couple years.

But the Bulldozer is different.
AMD says, 61°C:

So i do not wonder when the CPU throttles at 75°C.
Cheers
Oh wait, 75ºC is not my CPU temperature, it seems it's my Motherboard temperature, sorry for the confusion (not saying that's not too high though, I'm not really sure)
I have been looking at that meter while playing the game, next time I'll check the CPU.
But as I look at Open Hardware Monitor, it says the highest it got to (while playing the game) was 62,4ºC (GPU got to 78ºC though).
Those below are my highest temperature measures after having played the game (I think Temperature #1 would be motherboard temperature and #2 CPU socket temperature?):

Mine is the FX-8370EBut the Bulldozer is different.

Highest temperature seems to be 70.5ºC

Maximum temperature for your chipset is at 105°C:
http://developer.amd.com/wordpress/m...s_pub_1.25.pdf
So the 76°C should be OK.
Then the 62,4°C are also OK.Mine is the FX-8370E

if your cpu gets too hot it will automatically throttle itself for self preservation. Anything above 50c will cause this.
Mine is at 24c over clocked. But I also have the side of the case off and it is on its side so all the heat goes up. If I were to cover it, it would shut off about 30 minutes after.
50c is really hot, 90c is going to damage your equipment. Why your board is even still functioning is beyond me.

Considering the numbers in the manuals above, it seems my numbers are Ok...
EDIT:
Oh, I think you referring to paga about the 90ºC...
I keep coming back to this thread hoping someone bursts up all "EUREKA! I FIGURED IT OUT!" but no such luck.
Not a whole lot I can do on my end.
The game runs fine even with weaker CPUs or throttling up to a pretty good extent. As you slow it down, the sound craps out way before the other issues come up.
Having the sound distortion issue happen when it gets hot makes sense, and addressing that could partially help, but it's not the core cause of the issue and when more is going on in-game the sound will still break and distort.
