Audio popping issue

Also chiming in to say I have had this issue right from start of 6.0, and it hasn't gotten any better. I have had the issue mostly in the overworld, around the sanctuaries, it still shows up now and then in cities.

Thats exactly the same problem i have since 6.0 launch and i also hear short crowd sound after i log out of the game.

6 months into release, this isn't getting fixed. I doubt they even acknowledge the problem exists.

Turning ambient track off completely fixes the problem. That means the problem is THE GAME.

Yes doesn't matter where I am logging out from, the crowd sound shows up at the end.

Now they're advertising the 3D audio pack, which is what causes these issues for most people.

Patch 6.08 is what started the audio issues for me. At first, I had some crackling and popping sounds with just wind while mounted. When I logged off and the game was shutting down, I would hear a second or less of the "crowd" noises. Then one day, I started having both these issues along with crackling and popping sounds going the whole time I play except when in a duty, unless I'm just not noticing it since I turned my ambient sound way down and there's as lot of sound effects and BGM drowning out everything else during combat. I'll have to double check this.

It's crazy, I'm still having this issue. I've had my ambient sound turned waaay down for some time now. Crowd noises upon quitting the game, crackling/popping while flying on mount.

This is happening to me too, although not always. I can't figure out what makes it happen or not.

EDIT: I managed to fix it, I don't know if this will help anyone but try disabling "limit framerate when client is inactive". For some reason, the game thought it was inactive and limited the framerate to 30, which caused the sound glitch.

It still seems to be an issue in some areas right now. Coerthas Western Highlands while flying for sure. Maybe it's the snow. (I'm just kidding)
