I absolutely agree that some form of reimbursement be paid! We have had to go through an entire expansion story with little to no sound and that is not what we paid for!Turned my Listening Postion back to 11, as 100 is so annoying to me. Area 2 of first EW Dungeon was fine when it would 100% trigger it before with the Trust System. Did the first EW Trial with players and no issues there either.
Not sure what to think as I changed nothing on my system and the patch from them fixed it, yet they don't agree when I ask for some sort of reimbursement of my sub, even partially for the time most affected.
I want to be happy and I'll try, but currently I'm a little burned by SE.
Good luck to everyone, I hope it works well for anyone who got affected and may you all enjoy FF now to the fullest! Blast that volume all the way!

Nearly two months later and a false benchmark and they think they didn't send us a faulty product that should be reimbursed? lol

Just be happy. They are under no obligation to compensate you with free game time because of a sound problem. You were still able to log in and play, you just possibly chose not to.Turned my Listening Postion back to 11, as 100 is so annoying to me. All good on my end. Long time coming and very glad for it.
That's like saying " be happy about your broken piano, at least you can still play it" yeah, but it sounds like shit and that's not what I paid for.

You didn't pay for sound quality, you paid for access to a service that allows you to play online with other people. Your comparison is flawed. Not only that, they understood the mistake was theirs from the beginning, and they've now fixed it, if this was a certain rival MMO the response would have been "Get better hardware or deal with it forever"
I understand that wasn't their response, it's yours I'm criticising as it seems to be very tone-deaf to people who want to play the game as advertised but couldn't.You didn't pay for sound quality, you paid for access to a service that allows you to play online with other people. Just did a test of it and while the issue is significantly mitigated, it's not entirely gone for me. I've been using Endwalker trial 2 in trust to test it, and while it started out perfect, a few seconds later it just went back to stuttering like before. I can probably work around it by killing my graphics settings and all that, but it's a shame. I also tried it without my dualsense connected, sadly no change.

So if you bought a car and something on it turned out to be broken (unknown to you or the dealer at time of sale), are they obligated to discount the cost for you, or fix the problem for free? I've been dealing with this sound problem myself since the expansion dropped, but I'm not crying like a child (not saying you are) over the minor inconvenience it presented, that's all it was M I N O R.
They owned it, they fixed it, that should be enough. They already compensated like 21 days or something of playtime because so many people were unable to access the game at all due to server queues, to ask for any more is absolutely ridiculous. That reimbursement happened because they were unable to provide the service that was paid for.
And as far as your "broken piano" comparison, the same thing applies, if it turns out to be broken, its fixed for free or replaced, not financially compensated. Unless of course you return it to the seller, then you're back where you started with no piano. Is that what people want to do? Return Endwalker and not have access to its content?
