    [dev] Is Stat Effect on Quality working?

    I have collected some data on all crafts over a few +stat values and the data is looking as if stats have no (noticeable) effect on quality at the moment.

    Granted I know it is (very( random, but when my GSM gives a range of 17 to 30 quality with +77 dex on mainhand, on the first action, I would not expect my Alc to give values around 24 quality with a +0 int.

    At the moment, the quality gained for each recipe seems rather dlvl or craftsmanship bound and this is capped at the above mentioned range of 17 to 30 (give and take a few).

    So my question is...did the patch break this?

    I too would very much like to know whether +attributes -v- quality are working as intended. I too have spent a lot of time and effort adding in DEX to my WVR and see no difference in quality gain since the crafting changes even when compared to my CUL which has sub par gear and no materia melded at all! Quality gains are very similar.

    Can we get some official confirmation as to whether craftsmanship/magic craftsmanship/attributes have been changed and whether they are working as intended. Also confirmation on WTF craftsmanship and magic craftsmanship actually does would be nice too /wink

    with +77, even if its a 7% increase, you wont see it at 17-30, i would measure your great success's because you can hit 5 of them 100% of the time with and without the +stats and see what you start to get.
    high end measure might look like 50 without 53 with

    Which is still within random range...orz...guess have to average it out over the long run...

    hit great success 100 times and record the highest number, then add stats... it the number is higher divide and give % that stat added

    I use only normal success, white orb values on the first action - 0% progress.
    -> Because quality drops with progress.

    The whole random thing needs to go, if you put points in a certain area it should be noticeable IMO, plain to see, why does everything have to be so vague with crafting. (that being said I still think stats are broken for battle classes so I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't working properly for crafters and DoL as well)

    Maybe in 2.0 huh

    Well if everything is no longer random, you won't get that kind of 99% progress at 2% durability that needs a 1% rapid miracle/heart attack kind of synth.

    That's what Unerring Hand, Piece by Piece, By the Book, Grand Design or Tricks of the Trade are for, so you don't have to worry about breaking if your synth is at least 20/30% to completion.

    I don't use them in favor of Greater Calling. Rapid x 3 with it gives me close to 30% if it fails and 60% if successful.
    That said, anything can happen in the greater cause of higher quality!
