The World Visit option from the log-in screen is a great option, in theory. However, I have not seen it work once (on Primal at least). You select the option and it gives you a "This service can not be performed at this time" or whatever. When every World is congested there is just no way for it to work.
I was wondering about this too. What are square going to do to compensate players? i have cancelled my subscription but i cant login to enjoy my last days. So i should not really lose them in my opinion. They should at least add days to my account because i cant play.If i cancel payments to FFXIV NOW, what is going to happen?
It may not belong here but any1 can help? I tried to find the answer but i couldn't.
I get server connection error since EW started, ive been able to q for two hours max before error, by now numbers barely ever go below 7000 when i get kicked out.
At this rate i dont think ill be able to play anytime soon, and once i start something else i wont look back for months, i just get hooked. I had a 4 month hiatus on FFXIV before when i continued to pay all along cuz "ill get back on it next week, just gotta finish this other game quick" and so on. I dont want to repeat that.
So as MUCH as i really want to play now, i can not, and it inevitably will result in abandoning the game when i start a "replacement, comfort" one.
Im just kind of afraid how that will impact my account if i go out now when the game is so full...
I hope me giving up and accepting defeat does a favor for all others but i dont want to be set back/lose anything or even lose the inactive or whatever account itself due to my space being needed or idk, i really dont know anything about these things...
Please can anyone give me advice?
I can deal with the Queue to log in, I've had to wait and relog through multiple queues some as long as 2 hours (hearing way higher then that on other servers)
I just recently started with a Queue of 2,400, after well over an hour I was at number 5 and I got kicked out of the Queue. I attempted to log back in right away and a queue of 2800.
The queues are bad enough, but people are dealing with them.
To then have to wait so long then to be kicked out of your turn to log in is terrible.
You need to fix this SE and you really should be compensating your players for this failing log in system. People will wait their turn but they should not keep getting kicked out from their turn to log in to the back of the line.
I started trying to log in around 12pm. It's now 4:14pm. I once got down to 560 or something and the lobby disconnected me. Back to 7,400 in queue. Ever since I can't get below 5,500, and half the time I can't even get past the title screen without the lobby error. I was expecting it to be bad but not impossible to play![]()

I am also experiencing the same issues. Datacenter cannot find my character, but I can attempt to queue. Once I wait an hour or so in line, the connection to the lobby server breaks and I get a 2002 error. When I get back into the queue there are another 5 thousand or so folks ahead of me. I have not been able to log in at all (or even come close) since 6.0 went live. The biggest part of pre-release access is ACCESS. I don't regret my purchase and I understand unexpected things can happen, but an official response and expected fix update would go a long way with the community, in my opinion.
This only works if you dont get the "unable to obtain Character data" issue, which i get 100% of the times when i log in.
The pre-release access which was at no extra cost to you. I understand you don't regret the purchase but the queue issues IS the sheer number of players trying to play at the exact same time. the problem is the people that give up after they get to the end game and then go to something else then come back with new content and then return. this is the biggest issue as to why people here are grumbling about that because they themselves didn't expect so many to return. but it happens time and time again. they have addressed it and said they will follow up, they addressed it early on then later yesterday, and now it's about 24 hours since the last update... how much more often should they update to meet your satisfaction.I am also experiencing the same issues. long before the patch, i have been getting the can't get character data issue and i've been able to log in with that, so that's not the cause of the queue issue.
