Exactly, the sub time is the thing... With them not being able to add more servers or increase the capacity to make room for the influx of players from streamers they should have been prepared to offer reimbursement due to the issues. Guess we will see how it goes tomorrow looks like I can't get on today at all.
Somehow I feel the NEXT 2 days will be even worse, as it's the weekend, most will be off wanting to log on. So your 3,000+ que will be more like 10,000+ because honestly I'm already waiting in que again at 5,500...this isn't going to end well.
This sums about how I feel.
My game time is being wasted, and I cant even get into a queue, when you work in a hospital setting and you finally get time off to do something only to be met with this, it's really heart breaking. Feels like the world is against you.. It's now entering the point of being soul crushing.
Totally expected and normal.
Like every other MMO during lunch and/or an expansion.
This 2002 'error' isn't an error per se. It's explained in the lodestone post Regarding congestion during Endwalker's Launch. It happens because there are over 17000 waiting in the login queue for the world you are trying to log in to. The only POSSIBLE thing they could have done would have been to add new worlds/new data centers, and they couldn't because there is a shortage of components. They looked into getting more servers, they've been very transparent about it. below is the portion of the lodestone post regarding the 2002 lobby error.
"“Error 2002” may be displayed when selecting a character in the Character Selection menu. This error is displayed when the login server is experiencing high amounts of traffic or when the number of characters waiting in a login queue for a logical Data Center exceeds 17,000. This is a measure to prevent the server from crashing due to extreme traffic overloads."

This isn't a solution, a solution is to resolve it, as you have lots of people wanting to play and can't because we are in an endless cycle of being disconnected because of server load. Other measures should have taken place as over 26 million people play this game, so basically most of us won't be able to play due to server overload, ok then give me my money back for the time I took off work and what I paid for, for pre-order, this is simply inexcusable.
I'm in queue at 400 at the moment, nearly in!
Waiting for the inevitable kick.
While I have no doubt the servers are crazy packed tonight, I'm so excited to finally get to log in and play! Hope it is fixed at some point this evening.
The Lobby Connection Error (SE) issue has been around in every expansion, yet Square Enix seems to have no intention to ever fix it. To me, SE charges for early access and yet refuses to fix a technical problem that prevent a majority of players from being able to play the game during early access, then the problem becomes a fraud because it happens in every expansion.
If you live in the USA and want to force SE and Yoshi to take this problem seriously, please file a fraud complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. SE is committing fraud by charging for a service that it could delivered to a small percentage of customers, in every expansion.
Visit the US Federal Trade Commission's fraud report page at https://www.ftc.gov/faq/consumer-pro...-complaint-ftc and file a complaint.
If enough players file a complaint, the FTC will open a file, and that will surely get Square Enix and Yoshi's attention.

Wonderfully said, and truth be told if they know that the "error 2002" message appears of having a high load of 17,000 people in que then they should have stopped selling pre-orders before this mark to avoid this problem, but they didn't, they allowed the sales to happen and now we have to wait?
