Nope. I got kicked at 150 and came back to see my position as 1.I'm thinking the "grace period" is only as long as your position isn't called. Like if you are a low number like 10 and you get errored out then probably a lot of other people got errored out. This makes it likely that #10 was called to enter the game and you were nowhere to be found. Where as someone at say position 10,000 just had half the people infront of them error out and he hasn't been called. So when he errors out he can get back in at 5-10k
That has not been the case for me, the only time I was booted and reset in the queue was when I was booted at 11
The danger appears to be at the end of the queue when you are actually being logged in to the game - if it crashes then, you're back at the end of the line.
As someone who has been dealing with error 2002 for three hours now, getting booted at 8 players in queue the first time, and at various number of players in queue ranging from 24 to 1777 and every time I log back in within 15-30 seconds and I'm back at the back of the line again... yay for you? I'm far from the only person who has pointed this out.
The system that's being used to track and hold place in queue is not functioning properly. I don't want to say they don't have one, because I don't believe they'd make that mistake. But it's not working properly.
Have you tried cancelling your queue and immediately hopping back in? I guarantee you'll keep your spot
I did. And while it kept my spot like that, it does not if you get the 2002/4004 errors. And that's the problem, which has been clearly pointed out numerous times. Like I said, it's not working properly. It doesn't matter if it's keeping your spot if you cancel and immediately rejoin. 99.99% of people are not going to do that for any reason. No one is volunteering to get booted by the lobby error, which is where people are losing their spot in line.
One thing to note, though... I finally got in, but I noticed it went from 160 players in queue to getting in. So 159 or less players ahead of me got booted by the lobby error, because I've never seen any MMO process 150+ logins that quickly.
I don't know what the problem is, but I know it shouldn't exist to this extreme considering how long the MMO industry has been dealing with login issues.
yeah this is extremely frustrating!!
This is complete and utter bs. Se was not prepared for early release and they certainly won't be prepared when the game launches proper on dec7. There was utterly no point in pre ordering the game. If they could not create servers then maybe they should rented some. Was at 3800 or something got down 2500 then lobby eroor boom kicked out and try to log back and more lobby errors. Fix your shit se. Stormblood nor shadow was this bad. We should be allow to wait no0t this constant barrage of 2002 errors.
