Please fix the grace period while in queue

I'll be honest the only queue ive ever had has been so short it hardly mattered.

I've seen people say it exists. But IF it does, it either isn't enabled currently or it's so short it might as well not exist.

WoW had a system in place for this issue way back in 2006. There's no reason for any MMO to not have a system in place to deal with this these days.

It exists, and always has. Cancel your login then immediately queue back up on the same character, you'll be in the same spot. Gonna try some ARR hacking when I get <300 (back then if you were <100 you could cancel and log straight in without a queue)

When you hit cancel you can't try to log in for like half a minute after, so lol no ''''hacking''''

Also I've seen people who have the extra protection code not be able to get their queue spot (Friends specifically) but I haven't had that issue at all with getting my queue spot back

That is not the case now. Just cancelled at 251, instantly back in at 251 without being told to wait (like it was doing pre-expansion)

Ooooh so it only exists when you cancel your place in queue, not when it errors out. Yea, not buying that.

I think when you make it to zero and get the boot you've completed the queue. Issue could also be their new afk auto-logout, so try rotating view periodically while in queue.

It's not an issue with making it to 0 in the queue. People are getting the lobby error at all sorts numbers in queue, from 1 to 1200 and higher. It doesn't matter where you are in queue when the error hits, you're sent to the back of the line regardless.

And it's not a time-out thing. Myself, and several others, have pointed out that we're babysitting the queue. The afk logout is 30 minutes. I'm not spending 30 minutes between checking and clicking in the FFXIV window. It's on my main monitor and I'm typing this on my second monitor as I babysit the broken queue system.

I did, however, spend the past 20 minutes getting error 2002 without even being able to get into the queue at all. And when I finally get back into the queue? Almost 2500. This is after numerous error 2002 and 4004 ranging from 8 players in queue to 2000 in queue.

If ti crashes due to lobby error there is a grace period. Just happened and logged back into the same spot. Other crashes seem to be resetting the server queue.

As someone who is currently sitting in queue with TWO CRASHES due to 2002 Lobby Error each time I have reopened the client I have been back in my spot.
