Lobby server connection error?

So what's up with waiting 90min in a queue, wait to advance from 3000+ down to 258 and then getting "The lobby server connection has encountered an error" and appear at the back of of the Q, back to square one and rinse&repeat? Sick of this now.. Can't you like add 2 minutes of grace period where you'd retain the place in the queue, wtf...

I just encountered this as well, 3004 in que and got kicked due to Lobby Connection error, now I can't que at all...

I think they should run a emergency maitenance. My guess theres a lot players thats afk and not login out using the bypass method like saw in 5.0. If players don't log out then there is no open slots for players trying to login because the server is maxed.

sadly it doesn't seem to work, tried leave open dialog with retainer + afk, adjusting HUD interface + afk, go afk during cutscene etc, so far nothing worked xD I suppose it's a good thing they fixed it, tho it sucks if you gotta leave to do some shopping and find yourself at the end of a 4.5k queue

Sucks, im not willing to wait 2-3 hours AND STARE ON THE SCREEN in case i get an error just bc i need a 20 min break for dinner >_>

Sorry but this shit is realy pissing me off. I d'ont mind waiting, i know there are a lot of people wanting to play but wat realy is getting on my nerves is waiting for 1,5 hours just to get bootet off the que at 1 K to then reque with agin 6 K poeple befor you. There is meant to be a grace period, it's just not functioning properly. For some reason it's entirely random whether the system will remember your place in the queue or not. It needs fixing badly.

Well, I just finished bingewatching an entire season of The Boys while waiting since yesterday. I made it to 56 just a while ago. Fifty six! after 3 hours of wait. Back in the Q i go, 3255th place. FUCK YOU YOSHIDA

I have been able to log in once. Now I get thrown out from the queue more often than not, most of the time I keep my place in the queue when I log back in, but not all of the time. And regardless how long the grace period is they can’t honestly believe that I’m willing to stare at a log-in queue for hours at an end. I work full time and do not have that much free time to begin with.

I understand that there is a higher load at the beginning of a new expansion, but they better recompensate for this time we are paying for but are not able to utilize.

there was an update citing the issues described in this very thread:

・ Error 4004, 5003, and 5006
These errors occur when your connection to the login management server times out as a result of waiting in a login queue for extremely long periods of time.

so basically, if the Q is too long, you're fucked, coz by the time it will be your turn, the login server will time you out, coz you know, SE don't have enough money to increase HW capacity.. Thank you, TYSM for informing us that we basically stand no chance to actually log into the game if the queue is too large, I feel very enlightened right now!!! Maybe find a solution instead of saying what we all know.
