How do we get refund for early access?

I don't know why anyone finds it acceptable. So apparently other games have failed at launch therefore since they suck, sq en can suck and nobody is allowed to complain about "the precious ". Listen, I'm not a gamer, I'm a regular a$$ every day normal mfer. However, I bought a game, I then bought time from them to play it, and guess what... can't do that. Now I have children who dont work so they can log on at 6am and play 24hrs a day telling me, my opinion is not valid because another game launched sometime before somewhere and sucked at it too... sure....

Maybe its more that we are just tired of seeing so many people posting disingenuous posts about this. We are all unhappy with the lobby server issues, but please. This isn't even close to the worst launch in recent times. Its not even the worst launch this year.

It doesn't matter. Complaints generate innovation. The squeaky wheel gets the oil. You don't sit back and let someone take advantage of you. You say you are sick of hearing about it yet all you defenders of sq are here without fail.

Complaints don't generate innovation. Need does. And Competition.

Hence why most of our innovation in history has come from conflict of some sort. Wars, the space race, race to the moon, etc.

These are not disingenous. They screwed the pooch. Plain and simple. The game has been woefully underfunded for years, and it's rearing it's head for all to see. They can apologize all they like, but it all means dickybajeezax until they act on it.

As far as one of the biggest mmos on the market, backed by one of the biggest game developers in the world, yeah, it's pretty bad by those standards. New World is crap, and was expected to be crap, because it's amazon and their betas reinforced that. It doesn't need to be "the worst", to still be pretty bad.

You're perfectly allowed that viewpoint. My problem with Velnora's post was bemoaning early access being a beta test period and I was saying there's no consequences for not getting those incentives to play during beta test.

Look I'll be playing Lost Ark when it releases and it has an early access period for people who buy a gold package. Generally because time is valuable in that game, you do get an advantage for going fast and therefore you are paying for an advantage when buying that package ... kinda. Other games do the same, games where you have an advantage reaching endgame early and therefore you are incentivised to get on as early as possible.

FFXIV isn't one of those games so to complain about a beta test period which is really 100% optional is not one of the most pressing issues the game has imo.

I would imagine anyone having to wait in queue for 2 or more hours, to then get kicked and put in the back, would be pretty frustrated. How bout dem server improvements from the cash shop! Which, if you look at the current situation of trying to buy the game for the first time, and how it hasn't been improved at all, I would be hard pressed to believe they have actually improved anything on that front.
