Boss cutscenes--Don't let the fight start until the cutscene is finished!

The boss spawns before the cutscene ends and anyone who skips the cutscene is free to engage them while others are watching.

This is a problem for me because when we are in a party, we are pressured to skip the cutscenes because if the fight starts while the cutscene is playing, there is a possibility of a wipeout if everyone (especially the healers) are not participating in the fight. If players are new to the dungeon they should be able to watch the cutscenes at least once to immerse themselves in the game.

Please change this so that the boss (instance enemies) do not spawn until everyone in the party has either finished watching the cutscene or skipped it.

A shining example of what I mean is the Deepvoid Slave fight in D'zamael Darkhold.

This was an issue in XI as well. Actually, in some cases (where the actual fight was another 'zone' from the entry and/or CS, it would lock out people in the CS. It was never changed there, I wouldn't expect it to be done here.

This is where a good party leader comes into play. Leaders should always check with the group to see if anyone is going to go through the CS and should always remind the rest of the group to hold off party buffing or engaging until the entire group is ready to move on with the fight.

Something like this would be cool albeit a little inconvenient. I kinda wish the first time we go through a zone it's a mandatory cs, except mobs won't pop until people are done with the cs, and after wards the mob will pop for the party. After that, I don't need the cs anymore, there no need to have the cs for a dungeon entrance more than once.

Not to be a jerk, but I found your problem. I can't think of any battles where you're not parked outside of aggro range at the end of the cutscene.

In XI, it only really mattered where time itself was the enemy, and time spent in cutscenes counted against this, e. g. the airship fight.

I think another thing to encourage the non-skipping for new players is to freeze the dungeon timer ah... heck, I don't think this can be done easily without being abused.

I also find this really agitating. Whenever I brought people along to help with a job fight, I was always pressured to skip the cutscene and just "watch it at the inn". I always ignore them, but still, it's a bit annoying

I gotta agree. Set it so timers don't start right away. An example... When entering Thornmarch a timer plays down giving you a chance to either skip the CS, or allow it to begin. If everyone chooses to skip it immediately throws you into the battle. Otherwise, it will start the CS for everyone and even if somebody skips, it doesn't kick them into the battle right away. Once the last CS ends everyone is teleported into the instance and it begins normally. The Moogle one for example is pretty cool, but thanks to the fact that you have a set time to get in and kill them all before the king is summoned everyone is forced to immediately skip it.

Alternatively, allow a CS once it's been seen once (regardless if it's been skipped or not.) it can be replayed without having to complete the mission or quest. Since I've never beaten Feast of Fools I can't watch it at my own leisure, instead I gotta skip it and hope I can watch it later. This is just one example.
