I think you can play as normal. The issue doesn't prevent you from logging in, and I'm fairly sure you don't lose your fantasia if you log in without using it (maybe someone else can confirm this for sure?).

Yes I can confirm this. It will be kept inside the in-game mail if not used and if used, it has unlimited time on it, it will be consumed the moment you change your character and confirm the change.
I speak from personal experience, since I have a Fantasia on my character for about 7 months now and not have used it yet.

So are going to get an official update on this? Just sat in an 800 person queue for 20 minutes just to have it kick me out of the client? Are the servers literally on fire? Now sitting back in a 1,200 person queue trying again.

Ok! Thank you both for the advice. I am hearing from my fc discord that I probably won't lose the fanta and that the issue is more wide spread than my perspective has shown. I trust SE will take care of it

If you are having trouble there's a pretty obvious explanation as to why. They shouldn't need to say anything at the moment. They also said there would be issues like this days ago.

Yeah, tbh i expected the log in issues its really just the fanta thing that has me down. Stuck as a malezen in a world full of bun boys

Yea I used a Fantasia on an alt to try creating an M Viera and it doesn't let you re-edit your character due to the error. So if anyone is thinking of using a Fantasia, I would wait until character data is shown beforehand.
