I am 30 in the queue, which means I have about a minute and a half, so I'm going to pick out some music (details: probably soma.fm, particularly Groove Salad, Fluid, or Heavyweight Reggae), get a soda (details: probably Pepsi, maybe Mountain Dew), pack a completely legal bowl of herb I had delivered earlier (details: Blue Dream), and that will be about it.
Yesterday I logged in multiple times and was never higher than 200 in the queue (~7 minutes?). I logged in at various times throughout the day. Middle of the night, early morning, peak time, etc. The very first time I tried to log in after EW went live, I was like 17 in the queue, and I wasn't even poised with my finger on the button at 12:59:59am like many people probably were. I wandered over to login at probably 2:15 or so for the first time.
Twice now I've actually manually exited the queue because I could not believe the lack of congestion. Like, I logged in to a queue of 20-something yesterday and just straight up exited to see if I could actually catch a huge queue if I tried repeatedly. I cannot.
What makes me so super special? I dunno. I connect from Los Angeles, I play on Goblin. Big whoop.
Maybe, just maybe, there's a million people playing, and 10,000 complaining. Perhaps. Perhaps half of the 1% comes here to complain. I mean, that's pushing it (there aren't even 5,000 complaints total here on the forums) but for the sake of argument, I'll concede 5,000 angry folk.
To those with narrow scope of vision, 5,000 appears to be a whole hell of a lot - and to folks with no concept of a "whole", and instead only their "part", the sky is falling! Refund mah payments! SE is incompetent! Cancel mah sub! I'm #superoffended! Come watch my Twitch stream where I complain for three hours! Like and subscribe! (I must insist you ignore the 990,000 playing without issue if you want a shout-out on Insta.)
Folks are delusional if they think SE didn't try their best, within the confines of what is feasible for a business. One is delusional if they think they could have done better. Ain't you folks ever worked a job where you did your absolute best, yet customers (clients, bosses, what have you) still complained? Yeah, well ... you are now the complainer(s). And you know damned well how you felt about those complainers when you discussed, planned and executed the best work you could. Congrats on coming full-circle and perpetuating the negativity.

My queue long since popped. Gonna go play. Bye.
