Riding the ship to Old Sharlayan I immediately recognized a familiar scene, then was even greeted by Hydaelyns voice.
Immediately i was transported back 10 years too the 1.0 Beta and release, In the Beta i tried all 3 starting zones watching their intros, Immediately i recognized the reference to the Limsa intro, and well, loved it.

Sadly, despite a large amount of play time, I only managed If i recall 1-2 months of Subbed play, technical difficulty's with the combat system made it unplayable on my ping at the time so i got into crafting heavily.
As such, I dont have Legacy status and missed out on my tattoo.
My sole character for the last 10 years is a Miqo'te who started in Uldah (Making the Alchemist quest line even more poignant, I really wanted to point out too them that not only was I there but I made the blade if i recall XD)
Often wish there were more connections too our characters in 1.0, believing our characters, imported or otherwise are the very same who got sent into the future during the battle. Kinda wish there was a plot line where we travel down memory lane reliving a linear version of the plot and our actions back then.

Anyway, no clue if you will ever read this or even be told about it, but wanted to say thanks anyway, I loved it.

That part was really nice nod! Though aaggesss ago XD, my brain was like "hey... hey.. you.. listen.. like... you've seen this beforeEE OOOH nice" :P.

Haven't done much yet, and didn't see a thread for it yet and it vaguely fits here so I wanted to also add- having members follow you around is extremely classic feeling and I like there are discussion points too. Nostalgia of your team following you around lol. That with trust system being expanded even further would be amazing (as I can tell I already like it lol and I'm only a little bit into it).

I always love 1.0 nostalgia points.
Sadly, beyond the very starting stuff in each city i didnt get to do much, as mentioned, i couldn't get the combat system to work so dropped back to being a crafter.
Id hit attack (Or a spell).... and nothing would happen. Id spam attack, and maybe one hit might go off after 20-30 seconds of it so couldn't work it all out, meanwhile starting enemies would be attacking me and id die lol.
Guess I will never have the opportunity at this point to work it out lol. Still wonder about it from time to time too this day, even in the current day and age Im picking up stuff that make me go "Why did i struggle with that previously? Its so easy now!"

Yep! That part made me remember my beta experience in 1.0 - I was half-expecting a small battle to break out on the ships decks during a rainstorm. xD

Was such a nice feeling being back there...so long ago now but I still remember my first day in 2010! And Limsa was the only starting place. I hope we see more ^O^
