Thank you so much!!! I went down the gauntlet chasing this issue, even redownloaded the game, before I saw your post and noticed that my audio output somehow got set to "Arctis Chat". The game really shouldn't crash in this scenario, very ugly and will confuse some people. This should have been a "why doesn't my sound work?" issue.
