Shoutout to my work people (or people who had commitments) who barely got a taste of the game in the morning but had to leave it to make stacks. Now, you might be like me, just looking at the clock with Endwalker in the brain all day.

Some non-spoiler nifty stuff I noted while I was in the game for 30mins

-I like the clean UI window for aetheryte teleports.

-Going from 200k tank hp to 46k gave me a good laugh. I knew it was coming but it still surprised me. (Also the materia)

-Bunny boy explosion (insert rodent mating joke here)

-Sage aesthetics is *chef kiss*. Had no time to read any skill.

-Conversely, Reaper intro slick. Gave me DRK story vibes.

I had time to play this morning, but it slipped me by. I thought the release date was on the 14th, and the early access date was on the 7th... so imagine my surprise when I open the forum at work only to see everyone talking about queue times. Oops.

Well, it doesn't matter now, because I'm at the office and I know this computer that crashed three times trying to run a video editor will be lucky if it doesn't melt into slag trying to run FFXIV.

Can't wait to try out SGE though! And all the new PLD, AST, and SMN stuff. Might try to hop on late at night tonight so the queues aren't so bad.

At the very least, I'm the one in charge of the pervasive office Christmas music, so I can vent my frustration unto everyone else.

i just updated the game. Couldn't even play because of the long queue. but all that to say cant wait to get home to play

Downloaded patch, tried to get in for over 30 minutes. Gave up and played Cliff Empire until I had to get ready for work.

Now I am stuck working from home on my work computer wondering if I will be able to play after work.

Got up at 5am this morning to prepare to go into the office. Arrived there around 7:45am, and been working since then (it's now close to 4pm) .. Still have at least an hour to go, and then a 2 hour commute back home before I can start patching. By the time that's done, and I've had food and taken care of the parrot, I'll likely be too tired to queue up o.O

Also, fair chance I'm working in the weekend as well ...

I had to go to work but I love mine, and it will be there when I get back. We do high altitude industrial smoke stack and cooling tower repair, electrical stuff.. travel etc. Like a little adventure in itself.

I snuck in some time during my lunch break, a nice WFH bonus. Luckily the initial expected rockiness of a launch had mostly subsided and I was able to get in and had 2,200 people ahead of me and no errors.

SGE so far seems interesting, I still have my cautious optimism about it. I agree the aetherite thing is nice. And that's all I got away with, aside from a friend walking up to me with a chainsaw scythe, which admittedly is badass.

SGE aesthetics are great and I saw a couple of bun bois.


But for now...work.

Though I will give a hats off to a friend in one of my Discords. He put in that meme letter that's been going around "signed" by YoshiP requesting time off to his boss...and succeeded.
