Choppy city ambient noises play when on a mount?

I've been playing this game for a total of 73 days over the course of over a year, and this bug began TODAY.
Whenever I mount up and move around in any zone that allows flying, extremely choppy fragments of what I believe are the ambient crowd noises you hear in city-states begin to play. They stop as soon as I stop moving or I dismount.
I tried quitting the game and logging back in, but still nothing. The only way I can really stop those noises is if I turn Ambient Noises off in the Sound settings.

    OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
    CPU: Intel Core i7 9700 @ 3.00GHz. Coffee Lake 14nm Technology
    RAM: 16.0GB Single-Channel Unknown @ 1329MHz
Graphics: HP 2009 (1600x900@60Hz), Intel UHD Graphics 630 (Lenovo), 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER (MSI), SLI Disabled
    Audio: Realtek High Definition Audio
    DirectX Version: 11

Edit: Hold on, I think it just fixed itself out of the blue????

Regardless, it'd still be good to know how to prevent this from happening if it were to ever occur again.

I have absolutely no idea what's going on, but I would really appreciate a solution to this.

    Greetings fellow Eorzean,

We would like to further assist with this issue. Please provide a system report from the game by going to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.' Copy and paste the details of the selection to this post when replying back.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

The sound engine is currently playing too many sounds (many of which you are out of range to be able to hear) resulting in excessive cpu core utilisation, the upcoming hotfix or 6.08 patch (whichever is first) will seek to address it.
