Combat Sound Effects Distorted

I know it may not seem like the "BEST" option, but if you wanna fix your sound before SE fixes it with a patch, you could add the Immerse sound thingy under your sound options. That has fixed the sound issue for myself and a friend of mine who was experiencing the same. Yes it cost 16 bucks, but at least now no more sound stutter in combat.

It was really easy to set up too.

I agree and will not buy it. Feels too much like they created a problem and want to sell me the solution.

I doubt they did anything shady like that, but it is obvious from all these threads that they changed something regarding the sound engine with the release. I just wish it would show up on the known issues. Does anyone read the Japanese boards and are they also having the problem?

This is really bumming me out. I've tried all the workarounds people have suggested, but nothing is working for me. Oddly, I have noticed that the sound quality improves if I turn my camera away from the back of my character. It's still bad, but it slightly improves. This got me tinkering with the sound positioning (from camera to character), but that proved useless. This must be related to the new sound features they've added with 6.0. I hope they drop a fix for it by the official release date of EW. Having to sit in queue for hours at a time only to get in and be welcomed by the sound of Decepticons and Transformers having a rave in my speakers... It's a buzzkill before I've even buzzed.

Hopefully tomorrow maintenance will fix all these sound issues, game is unplayable with this static and distorted sounds.
Even with the immersion audio thing nothing changes.

For everyone who experienced this issue: I switched from Logitech G speakers to a headset, and when that happened the audio issues cleared up. Worked for me, may work for you, try changing audio sources if you are able to.

I don't think the workaround would be by worsening ALL sound with switching device.
