Bump: same issue, audio crackling and stuttering makes the game unplayable
I'm also having this same issue, along with half of my free company. Most of the folks affected seem to have PCs with motherboards that are several years old (5-6). We've tried routing through USB audio, some of us have changed windows audio settings to 44.1khz instead of studio quality, changing listening positions, disabling things like the realtek hd audio manager, and there hasn't been much change for most people. From what I've heard from our PS4 players and players unaffected by this issue, the sound is really worth it, so we have about half our FC not willing to do MSQ because they don't want to have to play the game with no sound on.
I can actually add to that list.. i also have an older motherboard. Seems wierd that would be the issue after a long time of no issues with this same mobo. . but if thats a linking factor then there you go
My motherboard is Z370-A PRO (MS-7B48) and I have this problem
I think that's like... maybe it came out in 2018? I don't remember
Can anyone say with confidence they know SE will fix this problem? Kind of in a limbo state where I don't want to proceed MSQ until its fixed, have lurked around at every possible link and discord question about this issue and have tried several things but all don't work.
Does SE even knows about this? They haven't posted this as a known issue yet in the lodestone.
Same issue here.
Same issue aswell with combat sounds
I dont see why they wouldnt, its mor an issue of making sure they even know of the issue.. if a square enix rep could reply here or if someone sees some news onit then we could know for sure. . but
Same issue and as already mentioned here some weapon skills sound like they're used out of combo.
Having this issue as well. Everything worked fine yesterday and then when I finally can log in today I have all sounds besides any combat effects or things like the dinging when you use a summoning bell.![]()
