If you login again fast enough (there's time for several 2002s) you'll keep your place in the queue.Twice I waited patiently for the queue to run down from 2900 something to less than 1500 something only to have the lobby server kick me out of the queue. I understand it's a new launch and will take some tweaking but this problem should never have occured in the 1st place since SQ-E knew there would be long queues. I've been paying for this game for 10 years but will not continue to do so if I'm not even allowed to log in.
But, yes, I think this is why Yoshi gave us that "We wanted to buy more servers but couldn't so the congestion is going to suck, sorry" post.
I get that the situation with hardware sucks right now, but these issues have happened to a greater or lesser extent during every launch window. The only change here is they've pre-warned us the launch window will suck, rather than just let us find out on our own. This is a service I'm paying for and no amount of excuses justify selling us something we have to wait hours and hours in a unstable queue to play. This wouldn't be acceptable in any other industry, and as much as I like Yoshi-P as a developer, an apology is moot when you keep repeating the bad thing you're apologizing for over, and over, and over again.
Low budget game IS low budget.
"Fanboy is gaming jargon used to describe an individual that has gone beyond the point of being a PC or console game fan and, during online chats or discussions, shifts to defend the program at all costs, unable to take any criticism or acknowledge any shortcomings of the game or gaming console."
This doesn't always work.
I just sat through a 2200 queue, got the DC error at literally 2 left in queue, logged back in immediately (within 15 seconds) and had a 2775 queue. Many others have reported the same. Sometimes it works (I had cases yesterday where it remembered my place even after 2-3 minutes), sometimes it randomly doesn't.
Yeah the gilgamesh server is at 9844 and then i get logged out its crazy![]()
