    Bumping to bring more attention to this issue and also to mention that while the fix suggested on the first page by changing the default output via sound settings on Win10 did bring me from 0 sound to some sound, the sound still lacks voice acting and major battle cue effects. It's not playable for the intended experience so hopefully the attention being brought to this will spur on more immediate action from the team to fix this.

    I am playing on PC with latest updated Win10 OS, RTX 3070 gpu and AMD 5 5600x CPU for reference. Seen a few post about being on PS5 with these issues, so I'm thinking any fixes on our end are likely temporary and it appears the issues are more likely to happen in congested areas / dungeons / trials. The first time this happened was during EW's first mini-boss in the first dungeon. I had been playing fine until that point.

    Adding here that messing with the sound configuration (both in game and on PC) fixed nothing. I had to switch to DX9 and that worked.

    Thankfully I am up at 5am (just so I can play), so the queue wasn't too bad, but I feel for people who aren't up in the early hours of the morning to log in and have to restart.

    Editing to add in case others have the issue I did: I had the Collector's Edition and early access. It worked perfectly fine during early access, but when I entered the regular code this morning so that I could play, that's when the sound problems started.

    Edit 2: My game just crashed, and I don't know if it's because I switched to DX9. It worked fine for a few hours, but I noticed if I tabbed out and then back into the game, it felt a bit unstable for a few before running smoothly again. So beware that might be an issue... And now to sit in a queue of over 5,000.

    Are you using a controller?
    For me it was a combination of Windows using the controller as the main output and the sound settings in the client. By changing the controller to all, then none, then going to sounds->apps and clicking the box and making it the right output, my problem was "fixed". I still have to do it randomly because the client and windows are stupid and will randomly make the controller the main output for some reason.
