Your forum name and the tone of this response is a perfect combo, ilyGee, its almost as if there was a completely unprecedented and impossible to predict influx of new players during a time when a global pandemic screwed the supply chain and made a critical component for servers unable to be produced, thereby crippling SE's ability to react to a change that no one could have foreseen. That would be wild if it were true, but its totally not. SE is just incompetent, amirite?
So you're saying they aren't watching industry trends and interests of players? I find that hard to believe. This was not only not unprecedented, especially with the consistent loss of players from WoW over the past five years, it was extremely predictable due to the same reason. It was clear that, at some point, there would be a mass exodus away from WoW. And since FFXIV was WoW's coattails in terms of popularity, and that popularity rising fast, it wasn't a mystery where that exodus would lead.Gee, its almost as if there was a completely unprecedented and impossible to predict influx of new players during a time when a global pandemic screwed the supply chain and made a critical component for servers unable to be produced, thereby crippling SE's ability to react to a change that no one could have foreseen. Stop making excuses for them.
Final Fantasy has been around long enough and made enough money to not have these problems. They should be able to support sooooooo many more players w/o disconnecting people and limiting logins. I havent played since FFXI and I'm so disappointed in this prelaunch. WoW never has these problems any more!
unfortunately it was easy to get into an alrdy broken game

you've got no right to ask people to chill while they set aside their work, school, or life for this Friday. what's waiting for us is "just" getting kicked, and immediately losing the queue. Did SE pay you to chill people on the forum?I get the frustration, but you'll get in. Chiiiiilllllllll. Most expansion launches (if not all) are like this. It can of course always be done better in hindsight but raging on the forums won't let you get in any faster. They already have a stance against havibg software to check for 3rd party programs for privacy reasons. I agree getting kicked and immediately losing your queue sucks though. Once you start playing you'll forget about it. Give it about 2 weeks tops for things to be back to normal.

I mean, you'll still be able to log in within this weekend and play. I was referring more to queues being back to normal by then. I get why you're annoyed though, but don't let it ruin your experience. Anyway, enjoy the expansion once you get in!

i played 2.0
*sips* that was a launch
you couldnt even find the game

I still think 2.0 was better then 4.0. Again 2.0 was just game being full at least for me laggy and other issue. 4.0 was years after stuffing their pockets with transfer cash and designing a broken system rendering the game stuck. Ques and DC are expected companies want to save money and customers suffer. Poor design is intentional.
