    Devs please read!! Embolden issue for 6.0!!!

    I like the over all change you have made to Embolden
    "Increases own magic damage dealt by 5% and damage dealt by nearby party members by 5%. Duration: 20s"
    Basically it's trick attack ever 2 mins and it lasts 5s more. This is great.

    My issue: Why is it still Magic Damage buff to self only?
    This tells me that my melee combo and Abilities, such as Fleche, do not get buffed.

    Now if you are saying this is the intention, then here's my counter point to that.
    If I have another Rdm in the party, when they cast Embolden, why is it that I would now receive a full buff which now includes my melee combo and abilities?!
    Was this intended to?

    Just make it "increasing damage by 5% to self and nearby party members". Easy fix.
    If you need to balance the values on potency of certain skills for Rdm, well then do so.

    Your enchanted combo does magic damage, so thats fine. Its just your abilities that are hurting jere.

    All your attacks that matter do magic damage, only unenchanted melee combo is physical, pretty sure?

    Actually, all of the abilities are considered physical attacks.

    (as any rdm who has done leviathan or void ark can tell you)

    Red mage has 5 skills that do physical damage: Fleche, Contre Sixte, Engagement, Displacement, and Corps-a-Corps The remainder of the skills are magic damage. Void Ark, also, doesn't change for physical/magical, it changes for ranged and magical. Physical melee jobs and tanks can do damage to both the dog and the plant. This is something I learned on ninja, ninjutsu only hits the magic vulnerable boss while your weapon skills damage either one.

    If you'd like to check this, you can do so by looking at any parse of any red mage on fflogs. Physical damage is shown in orange, magic in blue.

    When he says abilities he means off global cooldowns classed as "abilities" in game, not spells or weaponskills. Take the wording into consideration before trying to correct people.

    I've literally never heard anyone refer to OGCD skills as abilities, but if that's the intent I'll admit to be misguided. I've just always heard abilities and skills used interchangeably
