    My guess is that the vast majority of subscribers execute at a low level and that classes are being redesigned to create more appeal (and thus keep people interested).

    Ages ago the devs of Starwars Galaxies tried this. They made huge changes to the classes and the game, they made everything faster and easier. For some reason they appealed newcomers to jump into the game. But for any newcomer 2 vets left the game.

    SE shouldn´t mess up with a loyal playerbase by taking everything away they loved about the gameplay.

    The thing is, this games gameplay isn't the highlight of it. WoW gameplay wise and definitely for how core gameplay feels, responsiveness, variety etc. Is still miles ahead of FF14. Lets not get it twisted, for every 2 vets that leave they will be replaced with 4 new players. The casuals will most certainly not go anywhere now too.

    Even then, though, the floor and the ceiling are two very, very different things. And these changes impacted the floor hardly at all compared to the ceiling (with the exception of perhaps positionals on Leaden Fist).

    Those 20-potency-differed positionals mattered nothing to those happy to do only half, or at most two-thirds, their potential damage. But they did allow for far more apm and engagement for those who cared to bother with them.

    Do people here usually try to come across all knowing, with the jargon and acronyms, but actually know absolutely nothing (no offense)

    Because im trying to wrap my head around how more positionals equates to higher apm... lmfao i cant with this forum sometimes!

    I shuffle strafe on my MCH, do it like 100s of times a fight, so i guess that's mad high apm boiii.

    It´s actually the worst state of gameplay so far and it doesn´t make the MNK changes less irrelevant. I thought things couldn´t be worse like they have been with the release of SHB and its tank-reworks, but now we´ve DPS and Healer classes going nuts for no reason.
    Just stupid dumbdowns and changes who doesn´t fit the job or play well. Homogenization at its best and on top such "QoL features" to make evrything a no brainer. No more cancelled combos, lined up buffs, 1 million dashes, heal aoes which are as large as the whole map is, so the last idiot stays in the star.
    Coming up with such changes in the last minute is actually the worst part. I´m sure they expected such reactions. If i would´ve known that Endwalker brings such radical changes, it would´ve been a 50/50 chance to buy or not. Story fine... but to pay for dumbdowns, lazyness and no communication? NO!

    Didn't hate them, didn't like them either. I don't even think they made the job more complex or meaningfully engaging. They were kind of just there and something I did on reflex so I don't really care that they've gone away. I'll probably still be doing them due to muscle memory anyway. I'm more concerned with having lost our oGCDs rather than losing a mechanic that just had me shuffling back and forth every once in a while.

    Im glad I hated all the positonals was super annoying. Postionals and the current chakra system would be over kill.

    What about the Chakra system?
    It's the same.

    If you're talking about the new Blitz system then it really wouldn't be overkill at all and it's something that happens with long intervals.

    MNK right now feels to me like the easiest and least fun melee Job, the downtime is just gruesome without the positionals keeping you on your toes and making it more engaging.
    I really do not believe that the devs will stick with this long-term.
