Hitting things from the back is typical MMO/RPG mechanics for most melee. More damage from behind is just normal and makes sense across the board. Monk was different because it also depended on side attacks more to give it more of a martial arts feel.Speak for yourself, I love Monk and am happy with these changes, for me the defining characteristic for Monk has always been its speed which it has retained, It never sat well with me the concept of punching someone in the back anyway seems sneaky, leave that for Ninja's
