I would like to see a combination of FFXI and FFXIV party search functions.

Allow a PT leader to set amount and type of people to join the "public" PT (FFXIV)

and then allow players to seek PT listing multiple jobs. (FFXI enhanced)

Please implement a search feature as good or better than FFXI... being that soloing levels above R25 is horribly gimped now, you need to give us a mechanism to find SP parties... This should be a very high priority.

Please fix the broken mess that's called a search function.

It simply isn't broken... it's just that people don't know how to use it, even now you will meet people that even don't know that something like that exists there... even when they discover it they appear to be stupid to that extent that they aren't capable of getting to know how to use it... I, myself personally knew from the first day, also I see this kind of a system in place in various games and it is usable there, all players are using this... Seriously all i can think about this now that people are to fricking dumb...

for the rest i won't explain... i just say one last thing, back in 2011 year when I've created a party rec. ppl joined. Now they even don't bother to look there... (I'm talking about the ones that know about it or not... though it's true that most of the ones that knew how to use this have left, so there are maybe 5~10% of people that know how to use party search, and about 95~90% that don't...)

I'm of the opinion that an enhanced FFXI system would benefit more than anything else..

First and foremost a party flag and a /sea command.

FIRST OF ALL, NO FRICKING COMMANDS! This is a game, not Linux that you need to remember XXXXXX commands to operate, Gui window through menu/option, so you can fill it with info, or nothing else.

I repeat again, NO COMMANDS.

PS: I almost forgot... there are some people... that doesn't get the idea of them advertising themselves as a leader... also there are some that are afraid of being a leader thus they don't create recommend.

This system is more in favor:

1) You are a party leader.
2) You are searching for ppl to your party, not vice versa.
3) You are recruiting ppl to your party, not other parties recruit your character.

Some can't comprehend that logic...

Oh hell no, I don't want people joining my party out of the blue. What if they are there to steal loot or are totally stupid and offensive? I want /sea all 30-35 command back. I know the RMT abused it during beta, but I can always blacklist rmt.

That's why you post who are you looking for... you know that /sea thingy with list of all the sh** is the same... you don't know those people and they will join you anyway... so why the fuss... and personally, i wanna see all the party I'm joining before deciding if I want to play with them or not...

as for the other way, being a leader, I don't want to go though all the fuss of random shiz of searching, i wanna post recruitment and wait for ppl to collect themselves. I post proper requirements and ppl meeting them, will join. Also this gives me a method to get to know of new players.

But seriously... the situation with that is so messed up now... so adding to all the camps that are already, we got ppl like dyne who "Oh hell no, I don't want people joining my party out of the blue."

I wonder, with all the camps, how SE will resolve the party system to please all people... cuss it ain't be a fricking easy task.

PS: Personally, I'm saying NO to FFXI party creating method and YES to FFXIV one.

Commands are much more efficient for some people over navigating through menus. As long as you have an option in the GUI somewhere to perform the same function, text commands are awesome. That's especially true when you get into more advanced forms of searching.

^ Search for all gladiators level 22-36 who have their party seek flag on. And for those of us who can remember such commands, this is 10 times faster than using a GUI to enter the information.

If done in dual, eg. GUI option and command it would please both sides. I would certainly be using the visible option. I'm always quiet fast with navigating with this kind of things on screen (faster than writing the command xD)

Feldt.... we understand that a system for creating a party is there. But it would not hurt them to add the other half. Right now, as you state, it's only party leaders recruiting. It would be nice to see a search function for who is seeking as well.

Well that could be added. It even could be added to actual one, and i think they will add it with time. All about what i was talking was actual state of things in game regarding the actual system, and a little about not wanting a commands.
