Goodbye Shadowbringers

I'll be the annoying one that's happy to leave Shadowbringers. Great MSQ for 5.0, okayish for the patches. The art part was very good as usual (gorgeous zones and dungeons, good music). Job design wasn't always great for my mains, I thoroughly disliked Eden and the Weapons (storylines and fights), I was bored for most of the expansion as the content kept narrowing down. (Not everything falls under COVID here, I totally understand the delays and skipped events for instance). I'm hopefull that Endwalker will bring a bit more, but let's not forget that it will have features that were expected in Shadowbringers. It might feel we are given a lot, but we didn't have much for 2,5 years.

So the expansion was quite a let down (because I had high expectations after Stormblood which had a better cycle of content). I'm approaching Endwalker without expectations and I'll be happy to see how it unfolds!

Bye bye Norvrandt! You were a nice place to visit, your story was beautiful, and you revitalized the game for me, but it'll be good to be back home in Eorzea.

Decent history only on the ascians revelation part, great music as usual and stuning art desing are the only good atributes i grant to SHB.
Destroying DRK unique gameplay to become a WAR rip off, destroying SCH gameplay, oversimplification on the tank role, the oversimplification and poor downtime gameplay of Healers, several cut content like dungeons, tribes and relic with no improvements on the new ones as they said, simplification of savages and extremes more easy that ever, no last ultimate, add 2 new races that have get absolutely no updates during the entire expansion while the rest gets updates like normal, no deep dungeons and the deceived of becoming the Warrior of Darkness being just a matter of semantics without practical effect makes Shadowbringer for me the worst expansion i ever had.
Yeah yeah smooth release and such but content wise and Tank-Healer gameplay wise apart of customization on the new races has been just terrible and im glad this charade of expansion ends, i will see how Endwalker handle it but for now in terms of DRK, SCH and Healers in general looks like the same lack of care from Yoshi-p and Kei Sato.

In resume goodbye Shadowbringer, i hate you so much and you aren't going to be missed for me, good riddance.

Goodbye ShB. 5.0 was a blast, I'll miss the First a lot.

ShB ++:

- 5.0 MSQ, characters, music, art, mood, everything really except for the trolley. Innocence theme was brilliant.
- Shb wasn't about that boring Empire. It had amazing lore and really changed the way we see Ascians.
- Eden
- Glamours
- SoS trial
- The very first time I stepped in Amaurot ( both city and dungeon).
- Bozja and Zadnor

ShB +-

- Ishgard resto ( I enjoyed it but I think it was a bit overtuned XP wise)
- Nier (great glam, music, a few good fights but overall, way under Ivalice)
- Beast tribes ( Qitari bored me to death, loved the Pixies and Dwarves tho)
- Relic weapons (Way too late, first weapon was too cheap and easy to get, questionnable finale designs coughSCHcough))
- Delubrum ( great doom mechanic, but painful without essences).

ShB --

- Expert roulette (2 dungeons /patch is the real mindkiller)
- EX Weapons (design and fight only, I really enjoyed the story)
- Fandaniel and Graha Tia reborn.
- 5.4 MSQ (I couldnt care less after all we've experienced in Norvrand)
- 5.5/55 MSQ ( not because of the narrative but because it failed to hype me for EW)
- The Amaurot dungeon ( I know, it was in my ++ section, but I haven't touched the 80 roulette in months because of this dungeon. AoE fest, level synced, terrible players, I just can't do it anymore).
- No love for my Viera.

Goodbye shadowbringers, the first expac I genuinely despise.

I was actually throughly enjoying it until I reach the moment where my favorite character was done very dirty. Hmm actually I might have suspected it since the start because of how obvious (and forced fed) the "self sacrifice for the next generation" trope is, but I tried to lie to myself.

That being said, I still really appreciate the devs works. Music and art are phenomenal as always. Weapon storyline amd Bozja are my favorite, along with their fights too.

Not a fan of tanks and healers being homogenized though.

Goodbye ShB. You absolutely WRECKED healers and took away one of the things I genuinely enjoyed. Your storyline was weak (SB was worse I'll grant you that) but your raid was pretty dope. Not Alex good, but certainly passable. Nier raid sucked unholy wind. Never again.

All in all, you will not be missed by me. May the First rot where I don't have to interact with it again. Also, Holminster Switch can die in a fire.
