So, is true all of the Augmented 530 gear will be purchasable via poetics?

I've been spam running those Nier Raids like crazy in a miserable attempt to get all of my 520 gear augmented and now I was told I didn't need to do it at all because after the 6.0 update the gear will just be purchasable via poetics. Is that....accurate?

Yes. A new npc for that will be added to the Crystarium.

Probably, since other tomes go away. But you literally do NOT need to spam anything to get 530, The first dungeons will probably be clearable with iLvL 490 gear easy, and by the time you will be doing the third dungeon, the drops from there will outclass anything that you have now.

usually at the end of every expansion all the current tome gear gets turned into poetic gear and come endwalker we will get a new batch of tomes to spend on the new lvl 90 gear

Yeah why i haven't bothered. I'll be getting that gear as I need to level each role. Been gettin 425 gear as well in Zadnor to fill in some of the needed slots.

It's not a waste of time if you want to gear up more then one job. Otherwise yeah it is. Overall though other then getting 72-78 gear you won't need to grind for gear that is just going to be given to you through MSQ quests and tomes.

If patterns hold the entry level gear will be ilvl 515, first dungeon 520, and second dungeon 530 gear. Level 82 crafted will beat out unaugmented/nier gear and 84 crafted is when you’ll see higher ilvl than end of expac gear.

Yes-ish? This will technically be the first expansion release since they started culling out the non-augmented stuff. Previously, you'd by the base item with poetics, and also have to buy the upgrade token with more poetics. It's possible, tho unlikely, that it may remain like that for a bit. But yes, most likely they'll just drop the non-augmented stuff entirely and poetics buys it all straight up.
