I'm ready for more Fire IV Fire IV Fire IV Fire I- wait what do you mean those aren't healer spells?

EW Healers are a friggin joke and I'm not gonna torment myself by playing Square Enix's designated short bus role any longer. To hell with them and their "every healer must be aCcEsSaBlE and have the depth of a kiddy pool" mentality. Couldn't even have the decency of giving healers something to offset the sheer amount of one button spam because apparently it stresses out the casuals lmao.

I actually find that to be fun on SCH.

I switched to RDM until Sage, then i'll try it and if I hate it ill just become a RDM main unless healing is needed by my friends.

Quitting healing has made my enjoyment increase significantly, I would recommend you guys to do the same.

I think what he means is that you need to dps between heal and shields and there is not much a scholar can do for that. I do minimum item level extremes with my friends because of reasons... but even there, there are moments when I feel bored as a scholar.

For me, the problem with scholar is this: When you actually need to do something as a healer, it is very easy to run out either mana or options to click that are meaningful and do not destroy half your other abilities , but on the other hand, when there is nothing to do, it is very boring to dps.

And I'm just here confused on which healer I should make my story class. Will it go automatically to scholar because new and shiny? most likely, but a nice white mage can go a long way. Healers are still fun in their own way that no other class/role can compare to (maybe mages). If you simply dont like the way they operate right now just give up and go a different role this isnt the right healer gamestyle for you.

Ah yes, no other class can compare to using 1 button for 70% of a fight in the hardest content in the game. Truly riveting gameplay.

I'm glad I get to drop healing in my static for EW because it's absolutely pathetic in its current state.

As a healer main, I'm glad dps is simple for healers. I like that I can pew pew when healing isn't needed, but I don't want it to be a complicated clusterfork like most of the other dps jobs in the game. About all I can handle for dps jobs are Dancer, Red Mage, and Bard. And I need to use macros to make RDM and BRD comfortably playable for me (I'm old and have hand issues).

The fact there are dps jobs that suit your needs is great. But why does the entire Healer ROLE need to do the same? Can't there be at least one healer that requires some high APM for those of us looking for a faster pace. Dps jobs vary so much in the amount of intricacy and it really makes me envious.

Maybe Sage will turn out to be that type of healer, but ultimately... the role is to be a Healer first and foremost. All the "intricacy" should revolve around healing. Obviously SE would need to make some fundamental adjustments to how content is designed so that healing was necessary much more of the time than it currently is, but I'd rather SE devout time and resources to making healing more interesting for Healers rather than devoting time and resources to expanding the dps aspect (unless that dps aspect is part of how the healing happens such as in Sage's case).

How many men am I involved with? Well that depends... do you mean men as in males? Or just midlanders?
