In this current expansion we cannot use Broil to weave (Unless it has been cast under the effects of Swiftcast), Broil is not an instantaneous spell under regular circumstances and does not give us free time on our recast timer to utilize our oGCD abilities without there being a conflict/overlap, you can use Ruin II and Bio to achieve that though.
This seems overly reductive.
WHM is my main healer because it has the strongest Final Fantasy lore and class feel, not because it is less mechanically demanding.
I've also done other healers and the mechanical difficulty differences between them are negligible compared to any DPS role. It's like saying that the Power Wheels corvette is faster than the Power Wheels jeep.
I solved the "no content to heal" problem by switching to DPS over healing in ShB. I've only hopped on my healer when it's the only role open in PF or if I want lazy farming runs.
For Endwalker, it's pew pew all the way.
And if only healers were not a required role for most duty finder and group content. The bottom line is that there needs to be a little bit more going on, otherwise you end up with the role in need permanently being healers like it has been throughout all of Shadowbringers.
All four healers are reduced to a boring nuke spam most of the time but it's okay because you can play anything else. Bad luck if you want to heal and be useful, bad luck if you want to dps and support your party with more than endless repetition of a single skill, bad luck if you like any of their aesthetics.
Dungeons often require more healing than raids. Especially leveling dungeons (level cap dungeons tend to be a joke). A full wall pull in Holminster or Mt Gulg can demand more healing and tank cd's than most Savage bosses, where you can easily get by on just oGCD's and Glare/Malefic/Broil and even have a co-heal to back you up.
