Had to upgrade to monterey today on my intel chip macbook 16". Now the game crashes every time I try to change zones, I can't even leave the inn room. Any idea how to fix this?

Maybe there is no fix for this for now, unfortunately.
Cheers
Wow you think they’d be a bit noisier about that considering they charge extra for different clients. I’d switch over to a windows boot, but I’m guessing they won’t be offering an alternative. I’ve paid for early access to endwalker and now just… can’t play?
Why exactly are they charging for alternative clients that they don’t even support?
They will support it eventually, just not asap, most likely due to the workload of the Expansion release.
Then again, it's been up on the Lodestone and displayed when opening the Launcher. So any Mac User had the chance to get to know about this.
Edit: Curious, what do they charge for those clients, and is it a one-time payment or recurring?

Yes, I agree. considering they charge full price for each platform and if I want to use windows till they support I would need to re-buy full price
I am on same boat, updated to Monterey. have preorder expo. but cannot play cause support won't start till end of Dec !?!??!
A more loud/noisier notice on mac game launcher would of been nice, as OS update being unplayable.
As currently I don't see anything about this in launcher.

It’s the full price of the game. So if I want to play now I have to buy the complete game plus expansions all over again. Basically I’m completely screwed and will miss endwalker. They will support it eventually, just not asap, most likely due to the workload of the Expansion release.

Do not fret! There are many people who aren't having any problems with Monterey (myself included although I'm on M1). This implies that there is a solution available. There is caching that the Mac version uses that the Windows version does not, so sometimes just leaving it running for an hour can do interesting things. More importantly, it means that a re-installation might resolve things (no promises though). If you have Time Machine you can of course roll back to Big Sur if there aren't any other reasons you need the latest macOS. If you don't have Time Machine, then getting that setup is something you should think about.

reinstalled game and it worksgame freezing during loading zones after updating OS
downloaded the mac installer 2.3 gb
just run, will just reconfigure/update system and work - does not need to re-download rest of client.
hope that helps anyone else, that upgraded to Monterey.

So is that saying I can't play on my Mac entirely or just for ppl who had ungraded to Monterey? I'm confused... So when can I upgrade to Monterey? Next week is the expansion. if it doesn't work so I guess I'll have to miss the early access and everything?
