It's straightforward, the rotation is very straightforward and can be easily memorized. You will soon transfer it to your muscle memory and don't have to think about it much.
This means your have more time to react to mechanics, aoe's etc. Together with being relatively mobile for a caster it makes you generally less likely to die or mess up your rotation and even if you mess up, for the most part it's not a big deal unless you mess up your finisher combo.

In Endwalker the difficulty of the class is probably going to increase a bit. You'll be spending more time alternating between close and ranged combat (yay!), and your finisher combo will be even longer, if you mess it up it will hurt more.
