Is SE trying to suppress discussions about botting ?

I recently created a thread called "Botting seems to get worse and worse" where i spoke about my recent experiences with bots.
As a returning player who had not played for years, these experiences were kinda disturbing to me.
Because the situation was not that bad when i still played the game in the past.

Now i had to find out that the thread mentioned above got deleted.
I talked about it with other players and they told me that it's not uncommon for discussions which mention this problem to get deleted.
When i contacted the Support to find out the exact reason, they told me that they don't have anything to do with the Forums, which is a bit odd in my opinion.

At the end, i have some mixed feelings about this.
On one side i can understand that SE is trying to reduce unnecessary drama with actions like these.
But on the other side it kinda feels like SE is trying surpress the topic entirely.

Did the post contain screenshots with player names visible? If so, it was probably deleted due to the rule against naming and shaming.

Which is still unfortunate, since I think the prudent course would be for a moderator to simply edit the original post to remove the image as to keep the overall discussion and thread intact.
