Windows 11 Auto HDR broken?

Not sure what happened recently, but Auto HDR on Windows 11 seems to have broken. It technically still enables, but there is no longer a pop up notification when the game starts.
Also with Windows Game Bar (windows key + G), going to the settings and then Gaming Features there is a button for "Adjust HDR Intensity" but its greyed out. It used to work just fine.


However with the Endwalker benchmark, Auto HDR is still working properly, giving a pop up notification when the game starts, and allowing the Adjust HDR Intensity slider to work. Why does it still work for the benchmark and not the main game? Is this going to break with patches?

This game has no HDR, also this is Windows problem. Not SE.

I know this is a necro but I never saw this resolved and have been struggling with this same issue until just moments ago.

AutoHDR is considered a "full screen optimization" in Windows 11. Meaning, if you are someone who like me, went into the game's properties and turned full screen optimizations off attempting to reduce microstutter, that will also disable AutoHDR at the same time.

All I had to do was re-enable full screen optimizations and auto-hdr popped right back on. I'm also not seeing a ton of stutter but it helps if you play in full screen mode.

This game has no HDR, also this is Windows problem. Not SE.

The game doesn't have native HDR, but Windows Auto HDR works quite well with FFXIV.

As for the OP, I use Auto HDR all the time for XIV and haven't had any issues.
