FFXIV Boot Error: Unable to download patch files. [11003][10009][10019]

Tried all sorts of possible fix (deleting patch folder, change Boot.cfg log, use VPN, disable firewall, Manual DNS setting, updating IE Edge, Changing back from Windows 11 to Windows 10.) Non of these fix works. All the thread I can find are outdated.

I downloaded the launcher from official site with FFXIV Boot Ver. 2019.03.12.0000.0001
Start updating the updater/Launcher version.

then the error message pops up. FFXIV Boot Error: Unable to download patch files. [11003][10009][10019]

I've played FFXIV since 2018 and recently got a new desktop. New expansion is coming up. I really wish this game can make downloading easier.

Same. Say what you wanta bout WoW's writing, you can at least log into their game. Wonder if you can get sub refunds if the game can't run.

That would be a negative. Game didn't work on my laptop after I bought a sub to play, and they said they wouldn't be able to refund me.

I had similar problem in the past.. Unable to download patch files.

I don't know if your problem same.. but I solved problem by deleting patch folder & connecting internet via mobile phone's 4.5G connection (more stable connection than my router) and reverted back to normal after it is done.

i had some error messages after restarting client from steam. Gave it a couple mins, closed the client and started again. no issues afterwards.

This is probably due to Windows 10 ransomware detection. I had the same issue when starting the launcher (which loads the ffxivboot exe to install the new launcher) failed each time I tried.

Go to windows settings, search for "controlled folder access". Since you can't exclude the programs involved (they have not yet been downloaded), turn this feature off temporarily and restart the laucher, complete the update then quit.

Turn controlled folder access back on, and start the launcher again. When you have write issues (such as unable to update settings errors) then go back to this settings screen and add ffix related programs to the exclusion list.

Tried this, didnt solve the problem. Same error code persist. Expansion 6.0 is online and I still can't download the game. Sad.

BLESS YOU! BLESS YOU SO FREAKING HARD!!!! YOU LITERALLY SAVED ME! I was so ready to curse Steam and myself for buying the steam version! I am a console player currently without her PS4 and remote play unfortunately failed to resurrect my ps4 from rest mode. Want to add to this thread, because sometimes this is triggered by NTT just being an awful datacenter in NA, that Square Enix shouldn't use:

Sometimes this can be fixed by turning on a VPN.
