I am sure you get the Expansions starter crafted ilv when you get the attire. This was the case with all the new released jobs (Samurai/Red mage started with 115 ilv which is the equivalent of the 1st HW crafted set, Gunbreaker/Dancer got ilv255 = 1st crafted set in SB).
So we might get attire of ilv385 which is the 1st crafted set in ShB.

I don't know or paid attention if they showed anything on EW so I am just judging from past stuff

Seems likely so unless you really need your poetics after EW, there isn't really a reason not getting the i390 set.
