Expansion Preparation

A list of things I'm doing to prep for the expansion, feel free to add in any suggestions:

All jobs: Unequip belt and clear belt tab from armory chest

All jobs: Stock up on retainer venture tokens

All jobs: Clear inventory space, use or toss excess tokens

Battle jobs: Avoid dungeons/roulettes/commendations for weekly bonus

Battle jobs: Max out poetic and allegory tomes, seals & nuts

Battle jobs: Complete Wondrous Tails but don't turn it in

New jobs: Get level 70 DRG gear for Reaper and 70 Healer gear for Sage

DoH/DoL: Have custom deliveries in inventory ready for turn-in after the Tuesday change-over

DoH: Have ingredients in inventory to make items for daily GC turn-ins

Use Fantasia before maintenance, not forgetting to undress for that too.

Get all the Wondrous Tails done, but wait until job changing to Reaper to hand it in.
Get most of the exp-related Challenge Log stuff to 2/3 or 4/5, then max out as Reaper.
Stock up on tomestones. Maybe tomestone gear will become cheaper when 6.0 drops? I hope? If so, buy level 80 stuff for Reaper and begin expansion MSQ!

If the job quests maintain the established pattern, the new jobs will come with a left side coffer that is -15 IL below the augmented Scaevan IL, so people who can't grind out enough tomes in time can prioritize buying accessories over armor.

I have everything done so far what i wanted before the patch, gonna clean my inventory a bit more and make some more venture tokens and maybe a bit money but thats it. I dont worry to much about lvl speed because in the past expansions it was always quite fast even without any additional stuff.

I'm just going to wake up go to work. like I do every weekday. Get home Run the patch on my PC and my hubby's PC. Wait for my hubby to come home and maybe play a little. Find out the Emergency maintenance log off without really getting anything done. And wait till Saturday.

That's a very realistic way to look at things; I'll be doing the same thing too, minus patching the spouse's computer as she doesn't play.



My prep's pretty much done and consisted of:

1. Stocking up on a boatload of Espresso con Panna and Coffee Biscuits for the initial DoW and DoL leveling rushes
2. Making sure I've made it to the next level on all the jobs with XP close to level so I don't lose all that XP with the stat squish
3. Clear out my retainers' inventories
4. Stock up on an unreasonable number of venture tokens
5. Buy full sets of 60 and 70 poetic gear for the secondary jobs then max out tomestones to prepare for conversion of lvl 80 gear.


6. Play an alt to experience ARR again and let rest XP max out on the main.


7. Buy a bag of really good coffee to facilitate the MSQ marathon to come.


8. Most importantly- finalize new glamours!!
