Dark Class For Me?

Hi y’all, I’m leveling a warrior and dragoon. I’m very enjoying it but I miss one class in wow. Y’all see I used to play wow and love playing edgy classes like death knight, warlock, and demon hunter. I’m favorite class was death knight. I used to play blood and unholy but now I’m playing ff14 so I have a question. Are there any dark magic or unholy warrior classes in this game that I might really enjoy? I’m ok play tank and dps so any advice and lore on these edgy classes will make me so very excited and happy.

Dark Knight is a tank available right now but you can only start it's unlock quest line once you get to Ishgard (basically the start of Heavensward). Reaper is a melee DPS that will be available once EndWalker launches. Both are very much in line with what you are looking for.

As for casters, we do also already have Black Mage. Visually it's not really overly dark and edgy, especially in it's spell visuals, but the storyline quest and background lore for the class is fairly dark.

dark is probably best. Its literally warrior atm but minus one combo button and with a bit more clunk. Its not changing at all in EW unfortuantely. It used to have its own playstyle.

reaper will be the dps you want for when you hit 70 and EW is out

no edgy healer though. Just lots of salty healers

White mage, the most dark edgelord class. No one looks at you funny when you say stuff like blood for blood lily or your suffering make me stronger. Best green dps, and on the odd occasion, green tank.

Just to warn, Dark Knight (tank) plays nothing like Blood Death Knight. If you're looking for a similar gameplay experience you might be disappointed, however aesthetically it should match well.

Dark Knight is a tank that uses darkness magic and a big, edge sword. One of their abilities is called Edge of Darkness. It can be unlocked once you start Heavensward in the story. https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/jobguide/darkknight/

Reaper uses a scythe and will be released next week and uses the void (also known as the world of darkness) as part of its lore and this is reflected in how a lot of their abilities look.

Red Mage balances white and black magic while occasionally doing melee attacks and Black Mage has a focus on black magic.

Playing a red mage in a bad group is the closest we've got to a necromancer job.

Why is red mage like necromancer? I though you can summon undead?
