If people didn't fall for it, then there wouldn't be any phishing attempts.
Just think; for everyone that is on average stupid, half of the rest of them are stupider than that.

It's like pickup artists that are cringe as hell.
The truth is that it works.
But how it works is that they just hit on so many women that they end up getting a catch.
If you go out and hit on 100 women there's probably bound to be at least one who's desperate or a weirdo.
This is also how these scams work, ofc the overwhelming majority of people don't fall for them.
But if you send out thousands of emails about how you're a Nigerian Prince then eventually you'll end up sending it to someone who's actually that dumb.
Usually they are are sending these tells from some players hacked account. They've gotten so brazen and whenever I get these, I usually send them a tell back saying, "Do you know you're being reported right now for hacking some poor players account?" They quickly poof and log out.
