Decorartion limits, why only 400 for a large?

When you own a large house, you realize it is kind of bunk that you only have 400 slots to decorate with. It's why so many home owners block off so much of their houses. Why can't we double the size of it? I would even settle for 600 slots of decoration space in my large. We're running on better systems than the PS3, so why do we need to settle for such small amounts? Please, devs, do something to help us out!

YoshiP has said that increasing interior item limits are on their list of things to do though not when it might happen. I doubt they're ignoring it but they do have other housing issues they're trying to address over the next few months.

It's also not something that was strictly a PS3 problem. SE did double item limits after PS3 support was dropped at the start of Stormblood. Now PS4 players and players with older PCs have loading issues in housing. SE can't double item limits if clients for those players will crash when in housing. They would need to wait until they no longer support PS4 and increase minimum system requirements for PC.

If you want to experience the problems larger item limits can cause, check out RIFT and visit the big Dimensions players have made available for viewing. Being able to place 2500 items sounds great but the result ends up less impressive when it takes you 3 minutes to load into the Dimension and then you watch items randomly appear and disappear as you move around. A lot of the limits we have are nothing to do with what technology is available to game developers and everything to do with what the average player has available at home.

At least 800-1200 spaces needed for large housing they are like 3-4 times the size of a medium.

Listen, I'm not asking for 2500, I'm asking for at most 200 more item slots for a large house. Seems a good compromise. And a lot of the load time issues for PS4 and might be an issue with latency more than hardware, as most PS4 players use Wifi. Having played this game on a laptop that can barely run most games, I was able to run this game just fine, and that game has trouble loading discord, so technological issues aside, I think 200 more items isn't going to break the system.

Not saying we're not going to get more items. I can easily see an increase of 200-400 down the line.

I was just demonstrating that while you may not have problems, other players do. SE has to keep them in mind when implementing changes.
