It seems like a lot of cutscenes are missing in The Unending Journey.

I recently went through Reflections in Crystal on another character again, to prepare for Endwalker. And I accidentally skipped a minor cutscene in "Unto the Morrow" where you speak with Magnus, Thancred, and Ryne.

I forgot to put myself to busy, and a bunch of people were giving me messages. As I was trying to respond, I accidentally pressed skip the cutscene. Since there's no way to abandon an MSQ unfortunately, I had to finish the Quest and go to an Inn and check the Unending Journey.

Much to my dismay, it's not there at all? I'm going to have to start a New Game Plus for Reflections in Crystal if I just want to see my character and this cutscene in its completion?

I know it's not a major cutscene or anything, but I feel I've missed out.

Yes, unfortunately the Unending Journey does not have every single cutscene in it. If you want to see that specific cutscene, you have to do New Game+ or look it up on YouTube.

I rather wish they'd add more of them. It's not often that a mistake like this happens.

But when it does, it would be nice to simply be able to watch the cutscene all over again. I guess this is all the more reason to start making more of my own YouTube videos about quests.

They stopped putting all of them there a long time ago. I forget which patch they said that change happened. It does suck when you want to look back at a part of the story that is either right before or after one that is in the unending journey. One of the reasons why people get upset at being told to just skip them. As unless it was a voiced one or part of a duty there's no guarantee that it'll be rewatchable from there.

Some cutscenes are in a different category, such as the Dungeons category so that you have to swap between categories for the next cutscene. If it was just conversion that didn't fade to black then it's not included in there.

Unfortunately, this is why I hate "veterans" telling sprouts they can skip all the cutscenes because they're all in the inn anyway. That hasn't been true since ARR.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't all of the in-duty cutscenes viewable from the Unending Journey? Or are you both trying to say that people are telling others to skip the MSQ cutscenes?
