Well, part of this problem will probably be solved in Feb 2022 when the new Oceanic servers launch.

I see your point, but there's no way I'm moving servers to get a house. And I'm not sure others would just pick up and move leaving all their friends and FC. *shrugs*.

I can definitely respect that. We're in Germany, but we play on NA server because of friends and stuff. Most people will probably stay where they are at, but newer players who haven't really set roots anywhere yet may be tempted to move and it could clear up some space.

This reminds me that I moved to dead server because my old server always congested and I'm at point to leave my friends, only for housing plot. Now I have 2 mediums (private estate at Goblet near pool and 2nd FC at Shirogane that's inherited by my FC leader to take care of) and another new friends and good FC (Way better than old server's lol...) so it's win-win to me.

Obviously not a fix but no more "clicking your mouse a billion times". So that's good. Also no one can "swoop" in and "Steal" the plot. Even Relocation is nerfed, you have to enter the "Lottery" to Relocate. It's going to be a lot better but still bad.

As of patch 6.1 a new lottery system will be implemented. Pre-expansion information provided on 11/6/21 Live Letter LXVII:

Character must have 1 class/job at level 50 minimum & 2nd LT with their GC.

Only 1 plot per account per server. (Your main can have a plot but that DQ's any of your alts on that same server.)

A deposit will be required. This is returned in full if you lose the lottery drawing (you have 90 days to get your funds back).

You can only have 1 lottery entry active at a time, select your plot wisely; you cannot withdraw once entered. - This is an excellent idea.

Free Company must have minimum of 4 members and be at least rank 6

A FC new member cannot be assigned the option to buy a plot or be changed to FC Leader to buy a plot.

The lottery period itself will last several days. Select the placard to enter the lottery to get your entry number. - This is excellent because there is no "rushed" feelings, like you are going to miss out if you stay logged in longer. It's a more casual feeling.

Land Acquisition Period will also last several days to allow the winner time to claim the possession of the land.

You need to return to the placard to see if you won or not.

If the winner does NOT claim their land they will only receive 50% of the gil back.

If there is no winner or the plot isn't claimed, the lottery starts over.

There was a mention in the previous live letter that if the plot is relinquished after the drawing and sale is complete that there is a penalty incurred but this was not discussed again.

Again, please note: Relocation does NOT by-pass this lottery system!! - I love this as well.

Like I said this is not "fix to the issue" just a long needed band-aid. Way better then before. The main issue is we need more housing "Tabs".

I was also thinking, with all these Lotto entries they now a have a log of "Interest" and they can make future updates and know exactly how many people are interested in housing. And maybe with this data they can figure out how much priority they should put into this area of the game.

They dont really need a log for something even blind man could see lol.

They already know it has extreme intrest just refuse to put much time into adding more zones/spaces
