    FF14 Endgame?

    So I finished all of the MSQ now and got a couple classes at 80, but I read the endgame is basically housing, collecting cards, mounts, pets and doing side activities. This can’t be real?

    Ok, I knew that pvp doesn’t exist (in reality, not technically) from the beginning, but what is the pve endgame, as there doesn’t seem to be any real raids? Do the 24-man raids have more difficulties than the default one?

    I read about ultimate modes that are supposed to be hard, but from looking videos it’s just circle arenas where you dodge things for 15 minutes while doing your rotation?

    I unlocked a raid finder in Idyllshire, it says that it will need progression with a set group, but it has only one fight in it (leviathan) so I don’t think it’s still relevant content.

    Are there more raids to be unlocked (or modes), that have real mechanics and a real raid zone with trash mobs and all? Like in you know what game. This is definitely confusing because sometimes I go to old content and there are suddenly new (+) quests that add bosses but it doesn’t look like 80 endgame.

    Eureka and Bozja is one of the endgame. I probably will never complete it.

    I generally tell people to think of endgames rather than endgame.

    You have the "gold saucer" tier of endgame, which is where you collect your glamour/triple triad/mounts/housing/RP/normal modes/patch storyline. Blue Mages are the true kings here.

    You have the middle tier of combat endgame which is your extreme trials, Bozja/Eureka, and echo clears of Savage.

    You have the high-end tier of endgame which is minilvl savage, especially in the current tier (though this space is typically reserved for actual, progression savage).

    And at the top you have Ultimate.


    I would suggest not underestimating any of these until you've carried them. Videos don't do them justice when the parties you get have Bobby McNobuttons on BLM and Sara Healersheal on whm. Just like in That Other Game, the difficulty comes from your party messing up -- not everything going perfectly well.

    Difficult raids in XIV are 8-man, and most are just boss fights as you mentioned.

    There are normal savage, ultimate raids, a new deep dungeon, there will be a new 24 man alliance raid, new normal dungeons, role quests, a new beast tribe....

    I think you will find that its a lot harder than THAT.................

    Circle arenas? *remembers Werlyt* btw.....whats a 'real raid'?

    Only the bold is anything remotely serious for pve endgame.

    Normal dungeons are faceroll setpieces that structurally rehash themselves over and over since 2015. Alliance raids are casual content. Even Ivalice, which is the hardest raid series so far, was designed to let players be carried by the good ones to its completion.
    I don't know why anyone would list any kind of Quests in this.

    I wouldn't put deep dungeon at the same level as savage/ultimate though. With 2+ people it's fun if you go in without knowing too much but it's not inherently hard.
    And in solo it's a good challenge pondered by rng and hours of boring grind to reach the interesting parts. If you put in the actual progging time and effort it's clearly not as demanding as savage and ultimate. And unless you truly love the game mode it shows its limits quickly.

    The pve endgame is level 80 dungeons, level 80 raids (8 man and 24-man) level 80 trials, and the whole Bozja storyline. And that is about it. 24-man raids are generally easier than 8-man raids.
    And of course the Extreme, Savage and Ultimate versions of the above as appropriate.
    I don't know what you consider real mechanics, but if you don't think Ultimate is hard, then there is no hard content in this game for you.

    People do say that the real endgame is glamour and housing. That is only half a joke.

    Dyeable gear versions coming from savage makes it as real endgame as it gets xD

    I have not done the ultimate myself but I'm pretty sure they harder than what you're saying.
