The thing is like, all you mentioned is optional gil sinks, this game has no mandatory gil sinks so its kinda really on you.

Same question for you then - what are you doing that earns gil, and how are you spending it?

Plenty of us have tips for easy way to make gil and would be happy to share them. But only you can control how you spend what you do earn.

Some things like repairs and teleport fees are pretty basic to game play. While we end up with ways to avoid them once we get to a high enough level, they're definitely gil sinks in the interim.

But you're right, the game lacks any substantial mandatory gil sinks. If players are poor, it's usually because they're giving their gil to other players through MB purchases.

Because that's how gil is primarily used, inflation ramps up quickly and the "poor" players feel even poorer as they have to spend more to get what they want.

Game is also lacking in optional gil sinks as well. People spend gil however its mostly just redistribution giving it to another player. The only part of MB transactions that count as a gil sink is the MB fees that are taken by the game for the transactions.
