Like others said, making gil is really easy in this game >>>If you know what you are doing!<<<
Of course i don't know how much time you spend per week in this game and its also true that getting your crafters to max level and buy the gear needs some investment before it starts to pay off. But thx to the firmament its far cheaper and easier than it used to be.
There are dozens of ways to make money in th is game, the trick is finding the right one for you and stick to it. IF you really are not trolling (im honestly still not sure), here some ways how i make my gil. Right now i don't do much in FF14 until the new exp comes out and i still make some money.
1. Decide how you want to make you money (for example gathering, crafting, playing the MB with server hopping, Maps, buying stuff cheap from NPc and sell it on the MB, doing daily roulettes (dosnt give much but is a steady and dependable method), Bunny fates in Eureka (between 10k-100k per treasure)) and stick to it
2. Check if the Stuff you retainers bring is worth something, if not give it to your GC to get marks and buy ventures or stuff that is worth a bit at the MB.
3. Something that always sells and is needed are crystals, if you have miners or botanists with proper gear they can bring back up to 100 crystals each hour. Sell them in 1k or more stacks at the MB
4. Dont waste your time with crafting the newest gear. If your DC is like mine the prices are very really, low search for something that is not sold that much. A good idea would be furniture, glamours, ship & sub parts. From my experience its better to search for something that isn't bought so often but it usually is more expensive and you don't have so much other crafters that also try to sell the same stuff.
5. Selling expensiv stuff takes time, sometimes you sell nothing in a week, some times you make 10, 20 or more million in just one week. You need to have paition.
6. If you have a good group or FC Maps are always a very good way to get money, depending on your luck you can make 2-3m in just one evening.
