So honestly with the news of hq removal, it seems gil will overall become more and more worthless. Most people will never obtain a house, apartments are running out of other limitations.

I've made almost five million gil since I started in July. I play casually, and all I've accomplished in-game is to level a summoner to 80, a fisher to 30, and an archer to 15. I've never gathered, crafted or sold HQ items (aside from the random HQ fish I've caught, which you can count on one hand).

About two million of that gil was made by traveling to the other worlds in my data center and writing down the prices of all the Exarchic (?) gear - the 510 stuff - then buying some low, and selling high. It's amazing that what you buy for 89k on one world will sell very quickly at 149k on another... but I guess folks don't really think about checking other worlds when making a large purchase.

I think your ideas are cool, but there are other ways gil can be made. I imagine that if I cared about having more than a few million gil, I'd just do the world visits more regularly and then bathe in the gil like Scrooge McDuck. I probably spent a total of two hours doing it so far; that's a million an hour right there, just for playing the MB, and I am friggin' lazy LOL. If I actually put my mind to it and made a simple spreadsheet, and picked 50 or 100 items to follow and sell, I'd have five times what I have now.
